“Love one another as I have loved you.
Gospel of St Jean, chapter 15, 9-17
At the time when Jesus was of this world to his father, he said to his disciples: “as the father has loved me, I also I have loved you. Abide in my love.
If you are faithful to my commandments, you will abide in my love, as me, I have kept faithfully the commandments of my father, and I remain in his love.
I told you this so that my joy may be in you, and that you be filled with joy.
My command is this: love each other as I have loved you. There is no greater love than to give his life for his friends.
You are my friends if you do what I command you.
I don’t call you servants, because the servant ignores what wants to do his master; now, I’m calling my friends, because all that I learned from my father, I did you know about it.
It is not you who chose me, it’s me who you have chosen and prepared so that you leave, that you give of the fruit, and that your fruit remains. Then, whatever you ask the father in my name, he will grant it to you.
What I command you, it’s you love each other. »
